Baby, All I Want for Christmas is You!

“I don’t want a lot for Christmas, I won’t even wish for snow…”

Mariahpin this

I’m not sure you are aware of this however you should know that Christmas music officially begins November 1.  Malls and radios start in October but I think that’s a bit too soon…let’s not wish away fall.  Colored leaves and caramel apples should be appreciated with the background music of Jamie Cullum and Norah Jones.  November begins the official Holiday Season.

I look forward to starting Christmas music for months.  I love the warm fuzzy feeling it brings and how incredibly excited I get every time I hear “I’ll be home for Christmas….” and know that this year I WILL!  And so will my whole family!

Some may protest, but why limit some of the greatest music of the year to just 25 days?  I say give it a full two months!

If you were wondering, My yearly Christmas music list ALWAYS begins with:

1. All I Want for Christmas is You (Mariah Carey)

2. The Music of Christmas (Steven Curtis Chapman)

The rest of the list always includes old school Amy Grant, Diana Krall and Frank Sinatra Christmas music.

What does your list start with?  I love discovering new Christmas cd’s so please do share!

Also, while we are on the topic, this years Christmas movies will most definitely include Elf, Love Actually and probably many more.  (I am also taking recommendations for Christmas movies).

Merry Christmas music season!
