Family Pictures: The Williams

She smiles as he enters the room and you can feel her whole countenance light up.  He makes a goofy face at his daughter sitting in the high chair and bends over to sweetly kiss his wife on the head.  They are match made in heaven.  They love to laugh, and it shows by the smile lines that already mark their eyes–not because of age but because of a lifetime of joy.  Their three beautiful daughters seem to have inherited their same passion for life, each one demonstrates it in her own unique way.  Sandra as she puts one hand on her hip in a sassy pose for the camera, Anna as she bares all her teeth in a smile so wide her face seems to stretch, and Katie in her sweet baby cackle.

David and Melissa, thank you, thank you, thank you for allowing me another little peek into your lives.  David, I’ve loved getting to grow up alongside you (well more like after you…), watch you become an incredibly godly man, marry a spectacular woman and have the most beautiful and vivacious family.  It has been such a blessing and I wish you the best as your journey continues!  Know that you, Melissa and your girls will be in our thoughts and prayers constantly while you are in Afghanistan for the next 6 months.  David and Melissa, it was such a joy to get to see you over Christmas and I hope these pictures give you the kind of warm fuzzy feeling that being with you gave me!

  • Judy Williams - Susannah, I cried as I read your intro to David and Melissa’s pictures. You captured them so perfectly in words as well as in photos! You are VERY gifted!! I love the creativity I see in all your pictures; you reflect the emotion and beauty of life SO well. I am so grateful you took these photos before David left, especially since all their wedding photos are lost.
    Lots of Love– Aunt Judy

  • Rachael - We had such a fun day together and these pictures capture in beautifully. As David is realy more like a brother than a cousin since we all were raised so closely, I still find it uncanny that he married someone I went to kindergarten with many years ago when we lived in Texas. Such a small world & further proof that God truly does orchestrate every last detail! :)
