The Garden

Maybe the name is deceiving…I don’t have a real garden…yet.  But I have my own, precious, sweet-smelling herb garden now!  And I couldn’t be happier!  Most of my life, my mom had a beautiful vegetable garden, flower garden, and often an herb garden.  She would spend hours out in the sun, planting and fertilizing and composting, so the concept of a garden isn’t foreign to me.  I just never thought I’d be the type to have one.  OH but I will!  I’ve loved every moment of having my herb garden.  I loved buying the little plants (for about 30 cents each), choosing pots, buying dirt, planting them in their new home, watering them and even the dirt that stays stuck under my fingernails.  I. love. my. garden.  So I do believe it will grow to be more than herbs, but for now, this is what I have, and they live happily in my windowsill.
