I was inspired by my mother’s recent venture of cracker-making.  After a few months in Costa Rica I’ve gotten a little tired of the same ole Ritz and saltines we buy.  On very special occassions we buy Wheat Thins, but that’s quite rare since the small box costs $6.50.  So, in my desperate need for tasty crackers/carbs to eat with cheese, peanut butter and homemade hummus I’ve decided to give it a whirl.  These are the ones I made last night…for a first time, I think they turned out pretty decent. They are nice and crunchy but lack salt, a little baking soda, and maybe some herbs.  I’ll be doing a second attempt today so look for a post with instructions and pictures soon!
