The bus hit another hole in the road and I pressed my forehead harder against the cool glass window. I readjusted in my seat, drowning out the sounds of the movie playing in the background and focused on the countryside flying by outside. The tall trees silhouetted against the coral sky, and the jagged grass contrasted against the brilliant yellow. As the Costa Rican country side blew by outside my bus window I breathed a sigh of gratitude. For an air conditioned bus. For safe travel. For breathtaking sunsets. For trees and friends and mango juice.
