It was one of those warm summer evenings that seems to last forever. Children played in the yard, family and friends stood outside the tent chatting as the fireflies slowly began to appear, flickering here and there. The bride and groom stood hand in hand under the tall oak tree that has surely seen countless young lovers below its strong green branches. The music drifted out of the tent, blending with the soft yet constant chanting of the crickets.
Elizabeth and Aaron, your beautiful backyard Kentucky wedding was a dream. Your love for one another is so evident.
Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to document your big day…it was an honor and a joy. -Susannah
Aaron and Elizabeth chose to do a first look. A first look is a super sweet moment when the bride and groom choose to see one another privately before the ceremony. Aaron and Elizabeth set aside an hour on their wedding day to spend with one another…alone. They walked, talked, laughed and drank in the joys of the day together. Not only does it make the rest of your wedding day and timeline much more relaxed, but it allows you as the bride and groom to spend incredibly memorable moments together (that are photographed). Ladies and Gents, if you’re getting married soon, I highly recommend it. From my own personal experience as a bride and from the many weddings I have photographed. Here are a few of my many favorites!
