Byron and Britney: Baby Bump Session {Kentucky Baby Photographer}

He pulled my hair, I scratched his cornea.  He stole my toy phone, I kicked out his (not loose) front tooth.

…and the list could go on.

Of the 5 kids and my family, my brother Byron and I were(/are) decidedly the most stubborn and strong-willed (and that’s putting it nicely).  He is #3 and I am #4 in the line up.  We pushed one another’s buttons endlessly, all the way up until the day he moved out at 18.

Then something magical happened.

We started getting along.

Then somewhere in the midst of our college years he met a girl.  A very special one, at that.  My family had always joked that it would take one strong woman to put up with Byron…and God most certainly had one picked out.  It didn’t take long at all to realize that she was a perfect match for him.  She hunts, fishes, and gardens beside him, all the while managing to look adorable.

They were wed June of 2009…just 8 weeks before us.  It was a crazy summer for my family, but we wouldn’t have had it any other way. A year later, when J and I moved back to Kentucky we lived a mile away from B&B, which inevitably led to countless spontaneous game nights, shared meals and trips to the farmer’s market.

It has been such a joy to have my big brother and his lovely wife as dear friends, and we are insanely excited for them to become parents (and give us another little girl to dote on)!

B&B we love you so much and we cannot WAIT to meet baby girl Marlowe!

  • Sandra Marlowe - This made me cry. You two were, well, quite a pair. Man, did the fur fly. That makes your friendship now all the sweeter. Byron is such a nice young man – and Britney is a gift to our family, the
    one we prayed for. I love these pictures, and can’t pick a favorite. Well done, Susannah.
